An AI assistant you can text on Android
Clawd is a personal AI you text like a person. It works over ordinary text messages and over WhatsApp, so it works on an Android phone the same way it does on an iPhone.
There is no app to install. You need a US mobile number, and the first seven days are free with no card.
Start textingHow it works on Android
- Choose Start texting and enter your US mobile number. A six-digit code arrives by text.
- Enter the code, then choose Messages or WhatsApp.
- Send the first text: “hey clawd”.
On Android, Messages means the texting app your phone already has, over SMS, or RCS when your phone uses it. Clawd answers in the same thread, and the conversation carries on when you come back. You can send photos, files and voice notes, too.
The website is only for signing in and managing your account. Everything else happens in your texts.
What you can ask it to do
Clawd talks, but mostly it goes and does things. A few things you could send:

The first one really happened. The person who builds Clawd got an email about a $120 yearly plan he had forgotten, and texted Clawd about it. Clawd found the charge in his email and read the company’s refund policy. It cancelled the plan after he signed in on the company’s own page, then drafted the refund email and sent it once he approved it. About two and a half hours later his morning brief opened with the news that the $120 had been refunded.
When a website needs you signed in, Clawd sends a link and you sign in on that page yourself; it does not ask for your password in a text. It can prepare a checkout, and a purchase goes through only after you approve it on our payment provider’s own page. Browse more examples.
What it costs
Clawd is free for seven days with no card. The free week includes 100 requests and checks, ten website tasks and five images.
After that it is $29 per month: 500 requests and checks, 30 website tasks, 20 image generations or edits, and one active WhatsApp group sharing your allowance. If you were looking for Tomo on Android
Tomo is a well-known personal AI you text, and you may have landed here while looking for it on Android. You can text Tomo from an Android phone: we texted its number from one on 7 September 2026 and it answered over RCS. As of September 2026 what it does not have is an Android app: its App Store page says it “works in iMessage or in-app”, and that app is for iPhone and iPad. A review by Saner.AI dated 16 September 2026 says there is “no Android app, no WhatsApp”. Tomo’s own site is the place to start if Tomo is what you want.
